Hey all,
I´ve got a question: Is there any possibility of running multiple versions of ActiveSync. Just imagine the following problem: I have a Smartphone running CE 5.0 and (nostalgic as I am) a handheld with CE 2.0 .
Isn´t there any other solution than in-, un- and reinstalling various versions of ActiveSync, depending on which device you need to connect right now?
Alright, I could install e.g. Windows 98 seperately, but that´s not a fine solution either....

Regards
Jens

I know this has been discussed before...I have the exact problem though.. I have a Velo 1 which requires HPC Explorer, Nino 300 and HP 360LX which require ActiveSync 3.x and a WM5 PPC which requires ActiveSync 4.x.. My advice is to buy Windows 95 and Virtual PC 2004 and use ActiveSync 3.1 for legacy syncing... I am doing the same thing..

The VM way is probably the easiest currently, while I have written software to do the deed for H/PC Explorer, I have no plans to do so for ASx.

You can use AS 3.8 under Windows 95 - the article is for 3.7.1, but it wiill work for 3.8.
