| I think we've solved your problem, ActiveSync 4.2 does not support CE 2.00, only CE 3 and higher.. I suggest you uninstall AS 4.2 using these: http://www.hpcfactor.com/support/cesd/s/0093.asp
You can get 3.8 from here http://www.hpcfactor.com/support/cesd/s/0093.asp
in C:Amie's post.. (I did not want to hotlink C:Amie's link )
EDIT: ActiveSync 3.8 is the last version to support the broadest range of devices, CE 2.00-CE 5 (excluding WM5 ) and Pocket PC2000 to WM2003SE Edited by tenjeangosi 2006-08-29 11:05 PM

| Thanks so much! (I don't know why I didn't think to go to the dynex site... ) but I'm having problems again I think it's me this time, though. I can't figure out how to actually install the driver; All I'm able to do is remove it. |

| Ok, unplug the cable, then plug it in, hopefully windows will ask for a driver.. Manually go to the driver folder and find the file that windows recognizes in the browse box.. (I dont know what file name is called)

| Ok, I have 620lx as well, trying to bring it back from the dead. I need to connect to my XP machine to get some drivers for the internet card onto the 620lx.
I have the serial connection cable that came with the machine. I have AtiveSync 3.7 or 3.8 installed. Both the machine and the Palm say its connected. But I cant view the Palm from the XP machine. I read I should be able to open windows explorer and see the palm and the contents and be able to drag and drop files.
I see a "mobile device" but i can not explore it in windows explorer.
Any ideas? THANKS |

| try to hit "explore" in activesync |
|
|
|
| Ok- I must have done something right, because a little box popped up saying that the hardware was 'installed and ready to use'. But it still won't sync... There is also and icon in the My Computer menu that says mobile device, but when I click on it, ActiveSync opens (again, ca't find it ) I'm sooo sorry to have to put you through all this trouble! |
