Description

gnuplot is a portable command-line driven graphing utility intended to allow scientists and students to visualize mathematical functions and data interactively. gnuplot supports output including screen display.

Windows CE only partial port of Gnuplot 4.4.3, forked from https://sourceforge.net/p/gnuplot/gnuplot-main/

This is a Windows CE only, and partial port of Gnuplot 4.4.3. Thus it can be compiled only for Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC SDK in Visual Studio 2005/2008, and lacks many features. But it works.

This is a slight update version to the software made by skawamoto0 https://github.com/skawamoto0 distributed here https://kawamoto.no-ip.org/henteko/myapp/gplotwce4431.zip , incorporating some fixes and small improvements.

System Requirements

Windows CE 5.0 or higher for ARM processors

Installation Instructions

How To Run

Download from Releases, extract it into the path which only contains ASCII characters (the top folder is recommended), and run wgnuplot.exe on your device.

The console screen expects "MS Gothic" font to be available. While this app should run without it, you might face some issues in that case.

wgnuplot.ini is not supported.

The charset recognized for this software is UTF-8, thus write .plt file in UTF-8. You can use non-ASCII characters on the console although they don't show up while on console.

You must set a font with required glyphs with commands like set title font to correctly render a graph contains non-ASCII characters.

How To Build

Use the .sln file located in vs2005/vs2008 from Visual Studio 2005/2008. "Smart Device Programability" and Windows Mobile 5.0 Pocket PC SDK are required to build this project.

Hey, could you replace the binary with the current release (same URL), which adds a patch file (4.4.3-wce-r2.patch) inside as required by gnuplot's licensing terms?

> distribute the corresponding source modifications from the released version in the form of a patch file along with the binaries,

Thanks in advance!

Understood, done!

Please let me know if there's any descriptions/need to be changed

I also added Gnuplot 4.4.3 Rev 1 and gave you credit to the SCL.

Thanks!

For the description, could you change the following as this port can render on the screen but can't output to a file (I tested but didn't work):

> gnuplot supports multiple different types of output including screen display, output to file (including PDF, PNG, GIF and JPEG) as well as to more modern web formats such as HTML 5 and SVG.

Done

I changed to "gnuplot is a portable command-line driven graphing utility intended to allow scientists and students to visualize mathematical functions and data interactively. gnuplot supports output including screen display."
