^ Yes. As i said i got the program to finally open and then it comes up with the loading screen and then says cant find IWAD. THis is the only version that has even opened or gotten this far on the 680e.

I understand but so I can try further to assist could you please be specific which version you’re referring to?

I have tried a TON of stuff and its acting like the wad file is not in the same folder as the game. It is. I know this will run on a 680 so im not sure why im having the issues i am.

I’m having some issues trying to get it running.

have you tried renaming the WAD file to all capitals vs all lowercase? I think there was a PPC doom version that would only recognize it with capitals.

Ive tried renaming the wad files with no luck :-( I still cant get it to run. There has got to be something im not doing because i know for a fact this version i have runs on 680 on up. Ive done a lot of searchin around for answers and have yet to find one. :-(

I really hope someone figures out why i am having this issue.

Ok heres what ive tried.

1) Created Folder on CF card called Doom w/ all the files. Error says cant find IWAD but its there.
2) Created Folder on Jornada onboard memory called Doom and tried to run it. Same error

There has got to be some exact way to label this and where it goes for it to work. As i said it opens and starts to load but then says cant find the wad file. Ive also tried changing the name of the wad file. No luck.

If anyone has Doom running on their palmtop, where is it installed ? And should the folder name be etc.

Figure it out !!!

Ok it has to be in the \HPC Doom on the main memory. Or \HPC Doom on memory card with the wad file in the folder. It cant be in any other folders buried. It runs now ! :-)

Many thanks again for everything. Id hit a wall earlier today tryin to get this stuff working. I was starting to think it was impossible. Now i have more confidence moving forward and hopefully some of this DOS stuff comes back to me ASAP ! :-)

What version?, what did you do to make it run?, did you install any additional software?, can you provide a download link?
