HPC:factor v2.0 Logo
On this day way back in 2003 the teams of the sites of Simply|HPC and ce320 came together and for the first time HPC:Factor hit your screens offering a little slice of Windows CE for your day.

Back in 2003 when we started Windows CE .net version 4.0 was still a new phenomina, the world was getting to grips with Windows XP SP1 and the pleasure of IE 6 SP1 - which itself was retired this week gone.

At the time, HPC:Factor didn't have its community forums - but it wasn't such a problem because no one had even heard of Facebook, MySpace or Twitter and there were still plenty of other H/PC related sites to keep you busy while procrastinating at work (not that we would encourage such things).

All these years later, it's nice to see that there are still many familiar faces in the community, and although people have come and gone, the recent inability for people to register and the resultant grumpy e-mails that we have been receiving highlight that there are still people out there who are seeking a little HPC:Factor fix for their day.

Happy birthday hpcfactor.com!

How many years does seven equal in Internet years? Five hundred thousand? It's a testament to this site's strength.

Happy Birthday,
Jake

Sometimes it feels like 500,000 years :P

Especially when delivery companies can't deliver either the RIGHT or WORKING server hardware...
