Microsoft has released a stand-alone beta of the new Windows Mobile Device Centre for Windows Vista. The Microsoft Windows Mobile Device Centre Beta 3 enables you to set up new partnerships, synchronize content and manage music, pictures and video with any Windows Mobile 2003 or Windows Mobile 5.0 powered device. Windows Mobile Device Centre Beta 3 is only supported on builds of Windows Vista RC1 or later.

The new beta release offers formal synchronisation and compatibility with the main Windows Vista versions, as well as Office XP and Office 2003. There is no formal word from Microsoft as to whether this release can, or will support Windows CE core devices or older Windows CE 3.0 based systems.
