![]() A new version of nPOPuk has finally been publicly released, after having been mentioned in the forums nearly 2 months ago. New features include the ability to save mailboxes in the quasi-standard MBOX format (and to import MBOX-format mailboxes from other mail clients), to search in the Outbox, and to automatically move to the next message when the currently-viewed message is marked for deletion.
This version also has a number of enhancements of particular interested to HPC users, as they can reduce the amount of data that is read and written as the program starts and exits. Mailboxes are only written when changes are detected, and there is an option to load mailboxes as necessary rather than loading everything at startup. A couple of other improvements were made to memory management, particularly when encoding or decoding large attachments. Versions for Windows CE 2.0, 2.11 (HPC Pro), and 3.0 (HPC 2000) -- along with versions for Windows 95 through XP and for PocketPC, as well as the source code, -- are all available for download from the nPOPuk web site, which has been updated to describe the new features.
