The SunVox multi-track music synthesiser has been updated to version 2.1.
The multi platform (Windows CE, Windows, macOS, Linux, iOS and Android) music composition application allows you to create, sample and export musical compositions on the go directly from your mobile device. We last reported on the release of version 2.0 back in June and here, 8 months later the newest update landed on 1st February 2023. The changelog for the update is quite comprehensive and technical, but highlights include updated patterns, effects, keyboard shortcuts and UI elements in amongst general product improvements and bug fixes. Windows CE support is currently limited to only ARM based devices, with assumed platform support for Windows CE 3.0 and higher. While SunVox is freeware with the developer seeking donations to help support his efforts, so if you like the program, please do consider donating! Comments on this article I dunk for bananas 10 February 2023 1:47:43 PM Does the latest version still have CE support? It's such a shame that they've decided to only support ARM devices torch 10 February 2023 3:23:48 PM It’s a closed source program but the underlying engine as I recall is open source. Yes. The newest version has CE3.0 arm support. The SCL listing has some tricks another hpcfactor member came up with to get working right |
